It has one project in construction phase (Gross in Russia), several prospective projects and a diverse portfolio of early-stage exploration projects and licences in Burkina Faso, Russia, French Guiana and Canada. Nordgold employs over 8,000 people.

Nordgold has a proven ability to effectively develop new projects, most recently demonstrated by the launch of the new world-class Bissa and Bouly mines in Burkina Faso.
Nordgold's development project in Russia – Gross, an all-season open-pit heap leach project located in southwestern Yakutia, Russia, 4 km east of the Neryungri mine. In June 2016, Nordgold started construction on Gross. According to a Feasibility Study, Gross is expected to produce approximately 200 koz of gold per year, at full production, for 17 years. First gold is expected to be poured in H1 2018.
